Overview
In 2020, my studio Nonoia collaborated with Marshmallow Laser Feast (MLF), SuperFlux, and the museum director on an innovative project for the Museum of the Future in Dubai. Focused on the Heal Institute, located on the 5th floor, this immersive experience explores life in space in 2071 and how space travel can help humanity address Earth's challenges.
We developed a handheld device that guides visitors through interactive art installations by MLF and SuperFlux, ensuring a cohesive, end-to-end experience. Visitors learn how ecosystems and species are essential for planetary survival by integrating storytelling with a series of challenges and meta-information. The device ties the entire narrative together, enhancing the visitor's journey as they engage with the futuristic themes of space exploration and sustainability.

Interactive Handheld Experience in The Library, Museum of the Future
A visitor using a handheld device to interact with The Library inside the Museum of the Future in Dubai, designed by SuperFlux. The device, developed using Unity and infrared technology, allows visitors to explore, collect, and learn about various digital specimens displayed in the space. By completing challenges with this tool, users gain deeper insights into the importance of biodiversity and ecosystems for humanity's future. The immersive experience is a core part of the museum’s futuristic storytelling.
