Inspired by the patent technology DAW™️ developed by Cinello, the artist, with this series, is questioning how the perception of value changes because of technology, society and group dynamics. More and more people are willing to pay vast amounts of money for digital files, collect them and trade them. The NFT technology is reshaping the value system bringing digital goods a higher rank. This shift makes the artist wonder about the meaning of rarity, artificial scarcity and the mysterious aura around classical art. He asks: is the aura of a masterpiece an attribute defined by society? Can anything change its value because of culture? Some of those are rhetorical questions aiming to make the observer think about how everything is relative depending on the context. And how everything is nothing more than a collective lie.
