Overview
In 2022, I collaborated with Pentagram as a freelance Motion Designer and Visual Artist on a project for Cohere, a multinational AI company specializing in large language models. Working closely with Pentagram's team, I contributed to the development of visual concepts and explored ideas for Cohere's new brand identity. Supported by a 3D designer, we experimented with Cinema 4D, TouchDesigner, and coding to create dynamic visuals. Our work ultimately became a core element of Cohere's brand identity, evolving into a design tool that allows the client to generate new visuals for ongoing communication efforts.
My role as a Visual Artist and Conceptual Designer in the Cohere brand identity project was to focus on the early stages of development, translating the brand strategy into a cohesive visual language and design system. Through a collaborative and artistic approach, we explored a wide range of concepts, experimenting with various look-and-feel options and design opportunities. The creative development process involved continuous iteration and testing, allowing us to refine the brand identity in real-time. The R&D phase was crucial in shaping the final visual direction, ensuring flexibility and adaptability across multiple platforms. Below are selected still images and examples of motion identity research, showcasing the evolution of Cohere's visual identity.
